Proposal submission requirements

Please submit an abstract for a lecture (about 500 words), a brief description of proposed repertoire for a recital, relevant experience for a masterclass, a bio of about 500 words, and your CV to IVCWgtn2017@gmail.com by 30 November 2016.

Single works as part of mixed recitals are welcomed.

​

If you require resources for your presentation (e.g. accompanist, PowerPoint), please include these components with your submission.

 

We especially welcome submissions focusing on viola repertoire embodying cultural identity.

 

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their proposals by December 31st 2016. 

 

Presenters will automatically qualify for the Congress Early Bird registration rate.

Publication of lectures, performances and masterclasses

There will be an opportunity for proceedings to be published. For lectures a transcript should be submitted to IVCWgtn2017@gmail.com by September 30, 2017. Transcripts will be peer reviewed and those accepted will be published on the International Viola Society website in a "Members Only" section. This is a new IVS initiative and may also include transcripts of lectures of previous congresses. For performances and masterclasses, the ANZVS will select excerpts for release on a Vimeo site, and will request permission from relevant performers.
